This is a friendly notice that updates have been made to the Technical Package and registration system for the 2026 Western Canada Age Class Championships, taking place January 23–25, 2026 at the Richmond Olympic Oval.
These updates relate specifically to date of birth ranges and age eligibility:
Athletes may compete in more than one age division if their birth year falls within the eligible range for multiple divisions. They must weigh in for each division.
Birthyear eligibility age ranges have been updated for U15, U17, U19
Summary: Wrestlers’ ages will be verified at weigh in, and they must compete in the correct age division(s), with eligibility for multiple divisions if applicable. Because weight categories differ across age divisions, if an athlete is eligible to compete in more than one division based on their age, they must weigh in separately for each division they enter.

Volunteers Needed for Championships
We are currently seeking volunteers! We encourage athletes, parents, managers, chaperones - and anyone in the wrestling community to get involved. If interested, we would love to have you join our team!
Why Should I Volunteer?
Wrestling is a sport that requires help both on and off the mats. Our volunteers play an integral part in ensuring our sport continues to expand, grow, and thrive. We are very grateful for their time, talents, passion and commitment. In return, we provide our volunteers with opportunities to develop skills, expand networking connections and create experiences that will stay with them forever. We thank everyone in advance for their time! :)
