About BCWA
The British Columbia Wrestling Association is a not-for-profit sports association that can trace its origins back to 1970. We are the Provincial governing body for the sport of amateur wrestling in British Columbia. We are an affiliate of Wrestling Canada and its official representative in British Columbia.
The BC Wrestling Association is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors that is comprised of a cross section of community members from across the Province, with representation from the athletes, coaches, and officials. Our Board of Directors set the policy and direction of the Association. To support the Association's efforts, there are over 300 volunteers who serve as coaches and officials, and who liaise with the community. Province wide there are approximately 3,000 registered members of the BC Wrestling Association - male and female wrestlers, coaches, and officials.
