As a friendly reminder, please ensure your 2025/2026 BCWA membership is up to date. If you have already renewed, you can ignore this note. Active membership is required for insurance coverage, including liability and accident insurance while officiating at sanctioned events.

Why Become a BCWA Member? Your membership gives you access to a full season of events, training, and support, including:

  • Tournaments: Eligibility to participate in BCWA-organized events such as the West Coast Open, Western Age Class Championships, and BCWA Provincial Championships

  • Camps & Development: Seasonal camps and provincial/performance development sessions

  • Coaching & Officiating: Workshops, training, and certification opportunities

  • Safe Sport & Insurance: Coverage in the event of injury and essential proof of insurance required by many rental facilities

  • National Championships: PSO membership is mandatory for anyone attending Canadian Nationals

Where Do My Membership Fees Go? Membership fees directly support the growth and sustainability of wrestling across British Columbia:

  • Programming for all ages and experience levels

  • Coaching and officiating development

  • Provincial development opportunities and seasonal camps

  • Tournament organization and execution

  • Equipment, supplies, and insurance coverage

  • Staffing and administration

  • National affiliation fees to Wrestling Canada Lutte

BC Wrestling also pays a significant annual insurance premium so members can participate and engage in sport safely. This coverage is a major benefit — and required by many facilities teams rent for practice.

We’re committed to keeping wrestling accessible and affordable. BCWA continues to offer one of the lowest membership fees of any sport organization in Canada, and your membership allows us to maintain that commitment while expanding opportunities for athletes, coaches, and officials across the province.

We look forward to seeing you at the townhall and on the mats this season!
