Olympic Silver Medalist Guivi "Gia" Sissaouri - BCWA Spring Camp Lead Technician

Join us on March 14-15th for the 2026 BCWA Spring Camp at Simon Fraser University! We are honoured to welcome Guivi "Gia" Sissaouri as our Head Camp Clinician, an Olympic Silver Medalist and one of Canada’s most accomplished freestyle wrestlers.

Sissaouri captured silver at the 1996 Olympic Games and went on to become a World Champion and Commonwealth Games Champion, representing Canada at three Olympic Games. His experience at the highest level of international wrestling makes this an incredible opportunity for athletes.

Important Location Details!  The new SFU Wrestling room is located underneath the SFU Central Gym. Access the area via the elevator or stairs in front of the West Gym entrance. Follow the hallway past the SFU Athletics Centre, turn left at the end of the hallway, and the wrestling (multipurpose) room will be through the door on your left (maps attached below).
