National Championships – Officials Expression of Interest

BC Wrestling is now accepting Expressions of Interest from National-ranked officials who wish to be considered for appointment to the three 2026 Canadian National Championships.

Deadline to Express Interest (U19, U17, U15)

Officials interested in attending the U19, U17, and U15 Canadian National Championships in Grande Prairie, Alberta (April 24–26, 2026) must submit their Expression of Interest no later than March 20, 2026. Due to advance flight and hotel booking requirements, late submissions may not be considered.


Application of Interest for Upcoming Championships

Officials who are interested in attending the following events are also encouraged to submit their Expression of Interest at this time:

  • U19, U17, and U15 Canadian National Championships in Grande Prairie, Alberta (April 24–26, 2026) (Deadline to submit March 20)

  • Senior, Junior, and Cadet Canadian Wrestling Championships – May 28–30, 2026, in Montreal, Quebec

  • U23 Canadian Wrestling Championships & Non-Olympic Weight Class Trials – June 26–27, 2026, in Niagara, Ontario

When submitting your Expression of Interest, please indicate in the body of your email which championship(s) you would be available to attend. Being available for multiple events helps us determine appointments and fill our allotted quota spots.

Please note that airfare and hotel accommodations are booked by BCWA in advance but can be adjusted if needed.

Eligibility Requirements

Please review the linked documents below as they contain the full eligibility requirements. However, summary points - to be considered for selection, officials must:

  • Hold a current appropriate National ranking (CAWO)

  • Be in good standing with their PSO and national officials body

  • Have completed required registration and Safe Sport obligations

  • Meet national activity and attendance expectations, where applicable

  • Submit the required declaration form

Selections will be made in accordance with the National Championships Officials Selection Policy.



How to Apply

To express interest in officiating at any or all of the three National Championships, officials must:

  1. Review both of the forms above

  2. Complete the Nationals Eligibility Declaration Form

  3. In your email, include which National Championship event(s) in the selection cycle you are available to attend
