We are thrilled to introduce the outstanding staff leading our athletes into the 2025 Canada Summer Games, taking place August 8–25 in beautiful St. John’s, Newfoundland & Labrador!

🥇 Wrestling kicks off Thursday, August 21 & 22 with thrilling dual meets (province vs. province), followed by individual competition on August 23.
With over 4,000 athletes, coaches, and managers set to compete, the Canada Summer Games is more than a tournament—it’s a celebration of sport, community, and the rising talent of Canadian youth. Wrestling will showcase grit, pride, and the spirit of Team BC on the national stage.

Lappage's name alone tells me the level of grit these kids are about to learn from, and having Kooner, Chahal and Nijjar rounding out the staff means BC isn't sending wrestlers to St. John's just to fill brackets. I've followed enough provincial programs to know the manager and assistant roles quietly decide whether a trip runs smooth or falls apart, and this group looks like it has that covered. Noticing the dual meets land on the 21st and 22nd before individuals on the 23rd, that's a brutal turnaround that exposes conditioning and composure. Love meeting the Canada Summer Games coaching team — these people are shaping the next generation of athletes. Coaching is more than drills and tactics; it’s mentoring, motivating, and guiding people through pressure. I always find it inspiring to read about their journeys.
