Heart & Hustle – Honouring Bobby McKenzie

In memory of Bobby McKenzie - a leader, a teammate, and a young man whose heart and dedication left a lasting mark on everyone who knew him - the Bobby McKenzie Memorial Heart & Hustle Wrestling Award is now accepting nominations/applications.

Bobby embodied heart and hustle in everything he did. Whether through sport, friendship, or simply the way he showed up for others, he led with kindness, strength, and quiet determination. This memorial scholarship honours those same qualities in a graduating wrestler who demonstrates commitment to the sport, strong character, and true sportsmanship.

At the same time, Bobby’s legacy continues through an incredibly meaningful cause. During Bobby’s time in hospital, his family was encouraged to help spread awareness about the importance of blood donation — a message that has grown into the Heart and Hustle – Honouring Bobby McKenzie team with Canadian Blood Services. Through this initiative, Bobby continues to save lives.

We invite our community to honour Bobby’s memory by:

  • Donating blood (or sharing the message if you’re unable to donate)

  • Supporting, sharing, or nominating someone for the memorial scholarship

  • Living with the same heart and hustle Bobby showed every day
