FISU World University Combat Championships Recap

Team Canada delivered a statement performance at the 2026 FISU World University Combat Championships in Brasília, Brazil! Across five days of competition, Canada amassed 10 individual medals (2 gold, 4 silver, 4 bronze), powering the women’s team to a gold medal finish overall and the men’s team to a strong third place standing in the team rankings. The result reflects a complete national effort built on depth, resilience, and high-level execution from coast to coast.

Madison MacKenzie (SFU) — Bronze medal at 50kg

Magnus McCrackin (SFU) — Silver medal at 74kg

Tejvir Dhinsa (SFU) — Fifth place at 92kg
