BC Wrestling Association member clubs are seeking employees to join their wrestling clubs and assist with wrestling programs delivery. This employment is funded by the Canada Summer Jobs Program with a term of up to eight weeks for each employee.
Requirements and Duties:
Elementary School Clinicians
Some Wrestling experience an asset but not required Certification an asset but can be provided in late August Various locations around the lower mainland
Great with kids Energetic, personable
Clinicians will travel to elementary schools for 8 weeks in September/October running PE classes to introduce kids to the sport of wrestling. The focus will be on fun and physical literacy development. Responsibilities will include, but not limited to, setting up and tearing down the mat, executing on age appropriate practice plans, and sanitizing between groups.
This hiring will be done through the Canada Summer Jobs Program. All applicants must:
Have a clean criminal record check;
Be between 15 and 30 years of age (inclusive) at the start of employment;
Be a Canadian Citizen, permanent resident, or person on whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act; and
Be legally entitled to work according to the relevant provincial / territorial legislation and regulations.
International students are not eligible.
