Hello BCWA Members,
Wishing everyone a safe and happy holiday season. Some of you may be familiar with the Canada Summer Jobs Program (CSJ). It is a great resource that can inject fairly significant money into your wrestling program. Overall, it has been an underutilized resource by our membership and we are hoping to change that this year.
The BCWA Grassroots Committee was formed this year to focus on growing the sport, mostly at the elementary age level. We have designed a program that can be executed anywhere in the province that will get more kids on the mat, an employment opportunity for young wrestlers, and potentially act as a catalyst for getting an elementary program started in your area.
We can help you with the application process and program design. There will be work required on your part, but we can definitely be a valuable resource in getting this off the ground for your team.
