Starting on August 9th, BC Wrestling’s finest will have the chance to compete at the 2017 Canada Summer Games. The experienced and highly decorated girls team is poised to win. The team features four reigning Juvenile National Champions: Emilee Lai, Alexia Seal, Jacqueline Lew, Sara Brinkac, Ana Godinez and Cadet National Champion Victoria Seal. Lew and Seal are also members of the Junior National Team and Seal will be returning directly from the Junior World Championships. Coach Mike McDonald believes “the team is one of the strongest we've put forward in years. It is our sincere belief that we can win multiple individual golds and take home the team title”. The boys team will be bringing a mix of veterans and upcoming talent to Winnipeg. Leadership and high performance will be expected from the duo of Juvenile Silver Medalists Connor Pattison and Aaron Badovinac. Cadet National Champion Parmjot Sidhu and Juvenile National Champion Harbans Gill are another pair to be watching for.
On behalf of all BC Wrestling, we urge you to join us in wishing our wrestlers the best of luck at the Canada Summer Games, held August 9th- 11th. Follow along on twitter: @2017CanadaGames.
