Your BCWA Board of Directors is taking a proactive approach to building a strong Board for the upcoming year. This coming year will be pivotal for BCWA as we set our five-year strategy and prepare to host the 2023 National Championships.
The Board governs amateur wrestling in BC, and needs a mix of skills, experience and diversity to function well.

This year we are seeking nominations from any persons throughout the province who possess the necessary attributes to thrive on our Board:
Strategic thinking;
Commitment to the well-being of children, youth and adults
Openness to new ideas; and
Willingness to pitch in
Specifically, we want to hear from you, if you possess experience and/or training in:
Human Resources (Diversity and inclusion, talent hiring, development and management, performance appraisal)
Information Technology (Technology education, implementation, web hosting, audio-visual)
Communications and stakeholder engagement (communications plan, social media, digital marketing)
Board Experience
The 2021/ 2022 BCWA Board will be representative of BCWA’s commitment to diversity and inclusion: BCWA believes in equity, diversity and inclusion are essential for our organization and our members we serve. We believe that everyone - no matter their gender, racialized identity, ethnicity, sexual orientation, age, religion, political beliefs, family status, socioeconomic status, citizenship status, or Indigenous status – should have equitable access to jobs and opportunities. We strive to ensure the nominations process unfolds in a fair, transparent, timely and open manner to include individuals previously underrepresented or discouraged from participating.
If you have ever thought about joining the board or have questions, we will be hosting an information session on Zoom on May 6th at 6pm. You can register at the following link: REGISTER HERE
If you have any other questions in the interim, please feel free to the President, Chris Thom chris@bcwrestling.com or Non Ha execdirector@bcwrestling.com
