What an incredible week at the 2026 BC Summer Games!


More than 3,000 athletes, coaches, officials, and volunteers gathered in Kelowna to celebrate sport, community, and competition at one of British Columbia’s premier multi-sport events. Held every two years, the BC Summer Games bring together the province’s top developing athletes, providing them with the opportunity to represent their zones while competing against the best from across BC.


Congratulations to every wrestler who stepped onto the mat this weekend. Whether you earned a medal, gained valuable competition experience, or cheered on your teammates, you should all be incredibly proud. The true spirit of the Games extends far beyond the results—it’s about building friendships, creating lifelong memories, and celebrating the sport we all love. It was amazing to see athletes from across the province come together and showcase their hard work, determination, and sportsmanship.


Here are the final wrestling zone dual standings:

🥇 1st – Zone 6 – Vancouver Island–Central Coast (88 points)

🥈 2nd – Zone 4 – Fraser River (76 points)

🥉 3rd – Zone 3 – Fraser Valley (63 points)

4th – Zone 5 – Vancouver-Coastal (50 points)

5th – Zone 2 – Thompson-Okanagan (45 points)

6th – Zone 7 – North West (34 points)

7th – Zone 8 – Cariboo–North East (7 points)


Congratulations to all of the athletes who proudly represented their zones throughout the weekend. The future of wrestling in British Columbia is bright, and we can’t wait to watch these athletes continue to grow and achieve great things.


Finally, a heartfelt thank you to the event hosts, organizers, officials, coaches, volunteers, medical staff, and everyone working behind the scenes. Your dedication and countless hours of work made this event possible and created an unforgettable experience for everyone involved.
