Canada Summer Games - Dual Results
Over the course of the past two weeks, BC wrestlers have been battling it out at the Canada Summer Games in Niagra Falls, Ontario! Beginning with a dual tournament, BC took the mats by storm. On the women's side, strong performances went all around leading to a win over New Brunswick 43-5, Saskatchewan 35-15 and Ontario 27-22 culminating to a hard earned Gold Medal! As quoted from flag bearer Rupinder Johal on Team BC news, “I’m so proud of all the girls who worked really hard for the past couple of months and I’m really happy on how we performed off and on the mat,' said Rupinder (Abbotsford) after winning the gold medal. 'It is an amazing experience to be here with the team and winning gold. I’m so proud of them and I think we did an amazing job," (Team BC News).
On the men's side, Team BC continued to dominate winning against New Brunswick 35-12 and Quebec 25-21 to secure a spot in the gold medal duel. Coming in close with some hard fought matches against Ontario (32-16), they earned silver medal! All in all - hardware was brought home on each side making BC proud!

Canada Summer Games - Individual Results
Following into the final day, athletes divided up from their dual teams to work towards individual placings. Ten athletes were able to secure spots on the podium, earning four gold, three silver and three bronze medals!
