BC Wrestling Policies and Strategic Plan

With the new year upon us, BC Wrestling Association is proud to release an updated 2022/2023 Membership Structure, Membership Policy, Coach Qualification Policy and the 2022-2026 Strategic Plan.

Today, BC Wrestling reflects a vibrant and active membership of roughly 3000 individual members, 130 registered affiliate teams and societies, and countless volunteers spread across British Columbia. It is with their guidance and support that BC Wrestling continues to develop these policies and provide opportunities for members of all ages to align with its goal of delivering programs of excellence and community. We would like to encourage all members to review these documents as they reflect each members roles and responsibilities within the organization.

BC Wrestling's vision is to be recognized as a gold standard wrestling organization in Canada in the areas of governance, participation, performance excellence, and sport development. As a member, you are take part in each of these areas and contribute to fostering community in sport. To review the strategic plan, click on the button below:

As BCWA club memberships continue to increase, this policy will provide guidance to clubs and its members relating to membership requirements and eligibility. BCWA is seeking to support BCWA member clubs and our partners by providing policies that encourage fairness, development, and sustainability.

As a coach, you bring enthusiasm, commitment and a positive attitude to each practice, event and competition. In return, you learn new skills, meet new people and gain unique experiences. Coaches offer more than sports instruction: they are teachers, role models, and mentors. To ensure an atmosphere of continued leadership and safety, BC Wrestling Association requires that all coaches comply with the policy below.
