This months feature spotlights past BCWA president (1970-71) Paul Nemeth. Paul Nemeth is the foundation of wrestling in British Columbia. Paul worked tirelessly over 35 years to grow and build wrestling across BC and we are extremely thankful for his contribution to the sport. Nemeth worked as a wrestling coach from 1938-1969, creating various rec, club, high school and university teams. Paul pioneered BCWA and was the first BCWA president.
Paul also served as director for the first BCSS wrestling championships and the 1954 Commonwealth Games. Paul inspired many athletes, coaches and is responsible for many programs across the Province. BC Wrestling would not be the same without his time and effort. Thank you, Paul!
